Keeping with thee tradition of camping every month of the year but December, our Trail Life USA Troop took three leaders and seven boys on a two night outing where we had some delicious food, ability to hike, shoot, enjoy MRE’s (first time for some), and just enjoyed good company. Next months’s outing??? How about a Thirty Mile Backpacking Trip “with a twist”??? Stay tuned!!

We’ve been meeting at the pool for the last month. Each year we get to that point where we jump in fully clothed with swim trunks on underneath. We remove shoes, socks, then inflate our shirts to use as a float. Next pants are removed and inflated to act as a makeshift life jacket. We had four Trailmen and one American Heritage Girl attempt it. All but one were successful. We’ll try again this week.

Keeping our young men and ladies busy volunteering in the community is a big goal of ours. Honoring our veterans is one of our favorite activities. Our Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls Troops decorated the graves of over 1000 vets. We always appreciate what Ron Grauer has to tell the kids and they enjoy showing their appreciation to him.

Thank you to everyone who helped out with the Food Drive your local Trail Life USA Troop put on. Over 1100 lbs of food and counting + $100 in donations. We’re aware (we’ve had a few calls) we missed some of you. Please reach out, give us an address, and we’ll come pick it up. We very much enjoy helping out our community in this respect and appreciate your willingness to participate. Thank YOU!!

Hello Marysville,

Our Trail Life USA hung these on your doors last Wednesday. Didn't get one? Maybe it blew off your door. That's alright, you're still welcome to donate. Reach out to us as this is just a reminder that we'll be picking food up THIS WEDNESDAY. Please have your items out by 5:30 PM and in a spot where we have no trouble seeing them. This is the 12th consecutive year our Troop has been honored to do this for our community. Ever needed a meal you couldn't afford? Something to think about. Please do what you can to support our efforts for your local food pantry.

Another Winter Campout in the books. Three adults and four youth spent the weekend learning knots, hiking, keeping warm and dining on some gourmet cooking. Creating a “Can Do” attitude with these brave young men. Cold camping can be and is enjoyable.

Say hello to Jack. Jack is the newest member of our Troop. He is the son of Matthew & Brittany Ekstrum and will be joining our Fox Patrol (Kindergarten & 1st Grades). Welcome aboard Jack!!
