Did you know Green Bar is designed for all scout parents, not just for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters?
I always tell people anxious about taking the course that it should be called Scout Parent Training, not Scoutmaster Training, because the latter scares leaders. The course is designed for scout parents of all skill levels to give them the knowledge and skills they need to be comfortable helping on campouts and with scout skills in their troop. Being a scout leader is a great way to stay on your kid's calendar and to help raise them to be adults who follow the Scout Oath and Law.
