We have an exciting new project underway! We are so grateful to be in a community with so many generous restaurants who care about ensuring that our community is fed!

Earlier this month we hosted a launch for our Restaurant Partner Program with R Shubert Ho and team with Feedme Hospitality & Restaurant Group . Since our launch we have had 18 restaurants join this partnership.

Call for Help: Snohomish County Families Need Us Now

The ongoing federal government shutdown is creating a crisis for families across Snohomish County. Starting November 1, SNAP (Basic Food) benefits will be suspended, leaving over 930,000 Washingtonians without the food assistance they rely on to survive.

In Snohomish County alone, more than 80,000 people already face food insecurity—and that number is rising fast.

The 18 food banks in the Snohomish County Food Coalition are here to help. We are working together to meet the growing need in our communities—but we cannot do it alone.

Federal and state funding cuts have left us scrambling. Recent USDA cancellations mean we won’t receive essential items like milk, canned chicken, and dried fruits. These cuts are happening just as families are turning to us in desperation.

We were never meant to replace federal aid. But now, we’re being asked to do just that—with fewer resources and more people in need than ever before.

Here’s How You Can Help:

💵 Donate Funds – Every dollar helps us buy food in bulk and fill the gaps left by federal cuts.
🤝 Volunteer Your Time – We need help sorting, packing, and distributing food.
📣 Spread the Word – Share this message with your networks. Awareness saves lives.
📬 Contact Your Legislators – Urge them to restore SNAP funding and support emergency food aid.

This is a man-made disaster, and it’s happening just weeks before Thanksgiving—a time when no one should go hungry.

Holiday Assistance Applications are now open!!!

This holiday season, Volunteers of America Western Washington and The Salvation Army Everett are partnering once again to bring joy to families in need.

📅 Distribution will take place Thursday and Friday, December 18 and 19, 2025. Approved applicants will receive details about pick up time and location.

What you need to apply:
- Picture ID of the adult applicant
- A recent utility bill (within the last 90 days) with an eligible Everett zip code
- One of the following for each child 17 and under: Birth Certificate, Social Security - Card, Medicaid or Insurance Card, Letter of Legal Guardianship, Report Card, or Passport
