The NEW Marysville Pride Fest website is officially LIVE!

We wanted something that was more than a place to find the date of Pride Fest. We wanted a place that feels like us; colorful, local, a little bold, incredibly proud, and here all year long.

A nonprofit sent more than 500 trans Ohioans free gender-affirming supply kits this year

September 9, 2026 · State · The Buckeye Flame

The Q***r Trans Project, a Florida-based nonprofit, has sent Ohioans more than 580 customizable "Build-a-Q***r" kits this year, worth nearly $30,000 in supplies. Items include chest binders, packing underwear, gaffs, chest forms, and GenderGrip tape. There is no cost, no age restriction, and no geographic requirement. The group also partners with Elevated Access, a network of volunteer pilots offering free flights to people traveling for care.

Kits are distributed through a quarterly lottery, and the last summer restock sold out in under eight minutes. A large restock is planned for November — join the notification list at q***rtransproject.org ahead of time rather than waiting for the announcement.

Today is International Drag Day — a day to celebrate and recognize the art of drag all around the world!

The history of drag performances dates all the way back to Ancient Greek theatre; and today, drag performers span multiple races, religions, nationalities, cultures, sexual orientations, and gender identities. Drag is self-expression. Drag is art. Drag is not a crime. It’s entertainment.

No One is Free until Everyone is Free!!!!

Today, we join the nation in celebrating Juneteenth a profound day of reflection, joy, and liberation.

While the Emancipation Proclamation technically freed enslaved people in 1863, it wasn’t until June 19, 1865 two and a half years later, that Union federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to ensure that the remaining 250,000 enslaved Black Americans finally received their freedom.

Juneteenth marks that exact moment. It reminds us that freedom is rarely given willingly; it is fought for, demanded, and fiercely protected.

As an LGBTQ+ organization, we know that our own fight for equality is deeply intertwined with the struggle for racial justice. Liberation is not a pie, more freedom for Black communities doesn't mean less for others. We cannot celebrate Pride Month without honoring the Black trans and q***r pioneers like Marsha P. Johnson and Stormé DeLarverie who stood at the frontlines of our own movement.

Today, we honor the resilience of Black Americans, celebrate the beautiful richness of Black culture, and recommit ourselves to dismantling systemic racism. True liberation means all of us are free.

Seems simple right? If you are so worried about your kid seeing a drag queen in public and learning inclusivity, just take then to church and see what they learn from looking at the preacher, right?

There is a parallel between this ad and non-profits who support the LGBT+ community. How often do we see rainbow logos everywhere in the month of June only to disappear July 1st, and not come back the next year when there is a new administration?

Funding gets cut, donations dry up, and services go away. What people forget is the human that suffers. The trans person who no longer has access to food when the LGBT food pantry is closed. The youth that doesn't have support when the support group closes due to funding for a space to meet

Helping needs to be more then just donating to get a both space at the local pride event. True fans will support even when the weather is bad.
