Crumhorn Rod and Gun Club will be hosting an “Independent Defensive Pistol Association” style shooting match on Saturday June 25th and Saturday July 9th. If there is enough interest and participation for these 2 events, we will continue twice a month through October. These shoots are open to the public. You must have an up to date New York State pistol permit to participate. The fee is $10.00 per person for the day. Shooters range from first time beginners to experienced. Setup will start a t 9:00 a.m. Any help setting up will be greatly appreciated. Shooting will start at 10:00 a.m. after a safety briefing. Upon arrival at the club, all weapons must be unloaded and holstered or in a box or pouch. All shooters must be checked in by a Range Officer before safety briefing. Weapons are to remain in a holster, box or pouch until you are on the firing line and are told to draw and load by a range officer.
SAFETY is primary throughout the day.
Equipment needed; a revolver or semi-auto hand gun, 380 up to 45cal. A good holster, at least 3 magazines or speed loaders with magazine/speed loader holders, and at least 100 rounds (enough ammo to complete 6 courses of fire). No magnum rounds. Bring enough ammo that you believe you will need. Some courses will have a limited amount of ammo to complete and some will be unlimited.

You can bring a lunch if you wish. Hamburgers, Hot dogs, salads, chips and drinks will be provided for a small fee. We will break for lunch after 3 courses of fire are complete. After a one hour lunch we will complete 3 more courses of fire. You will be timed for each course. You will be shooting against yourself. Bragging rights only. After all shooting is complete each shooter must be checked out by a safety officer before leaving. Scores will be sent via e-mail to each shooter.
