What a joy filled day at the Abbey! 😊

More than 60 campers and leaders filled the grounds for the Maria Goretti Girls Vocation Camp. The Abbey halls, trails, chapel, and campfire circle came alive with prayer, laughter, and new and renewed friendships. ✨

With the camp just beginning this week, the sounds of young ladies singing in the chapel, along with campfire stories and testimonials, s'mores, shared meals, and meaningful conversations, have already filled the Abbey with joy. 🔥🎶

Thank you to the sisters, counselors, Fr. Thornton, Sioux Falls Catholic Dioceses Vocation office, and all you supporters of the Abbey who, through your prayers and support, help make these encounters possible. Please continue to keep these young women in your prayers this week as they learn to listen for the voice of the One who loved them into existence and enjoy the rest of their time here at the Abbey. 🙏💙

This summer will bring a special gathering at Abbey of the Hills 🌿

The Feickerts: Making Space for Peace🌿

Roger Feickert and Cathryn Feickert, residents of , are being recognized as Hometown Heroes for their charitable support of the Abbey of the Hills Inn & Retreat Center Endowment Fund in Marvin.

For many years, the Feickerts have owned Quality Quick Print and MidStates Printing and have been dedicated supporters of the Aberdeen community. They are active volunteers at Aberdeen’s Sacred Heart Church, the Aberdeen Catholic School System, and other local charities.
