Today marks the anniversary of when American and Allied forces landed along a French Coastline to fight N**i Germany, beginning the battle of Normandy. The battle lasted from June 6 to late August of 1944, and resulted in the allied liberation of Western Germany from N**i Germany’s control. This month's June Homewood at Martinsburg Auxiliary Board meeting, the Board approved a sponsorship of $1,925 toward an Amerilux Ultra Low Sleep System with the accessories for our Health Care Center. The request was presented by our Director of Nursing, Celeste Glass. This is a specialized ultra-low, long-term care bed designed for fall injury prevention and caregiver efficiency. It lowers to just 4 inches from the floor but can also be elevated to provide ease of care for the caregiver. (Pictures in the comments). This sponsorship provided by the Auxiliary, is just another way Homewood Living Martinsburg is proactive in the comfort and safety of our residents.
Thank you to all who support the Auxiliary fundraising efforts that help us to enhance the lives of our residents.

This Saturday, May 16, the Homewood Auxiliary will hold their Spring Garages Sale at 2309 Cross Cove RD from 8 AM to noon rain or shine. We have expanded the Lamp Room to over 90 lamps, expanded the dining room with more center shelving, and added additional shelving to the Front Garage just to try to show more of the generous donations given to us this year.

We invite you to bring your ENTIRE FAMILY because we have a special FREE section where the kids may choose from several hundred NEW items. Adults may NOT select items from this area for their kids.
Teachers may select from a different area for other new items for their class & their classroom. Please ask.

We’ll have pictures of a few dozen items that didn’t fit in our available space for you to choose from.
