MISSION STATEMENT
Sharing God’s love through caring for His people. VISION STATEMENT
We rely on God’s wisdom and his purpose for our organization so we can actively respond and grow to meet the needs of our community. ABOUT GOOD SAMARITAN FREE HEALTH CARE
At Good Samaritan Free Health Care we rely on God’s wisdom and his purpose for our organization so we can actively respond and grow to meet the needs of our community. After years of planning and praying Good Samaritan Free Health Care started providing free medical care on January 19, 2005. Since that time we have moved twice and have developed many projects and programs for our clients and our community. We are a Christian mission providing not only free medical care but spiritual care as well through our volunteers that meet with our clients to listen to them and pray for them. All our staff are volunteers that provide the operations of the clinic and outreach activities. Our main focus is always those that live in a disadvantaged situation be it not having health insurance, home instability, or not enough money to pay for medications. We are here to help you through these times and see you come out better for being a part of Good Samaritan Free Health Care.

Meet the people leading Good Sam into its next chapter.

Mary Cummings (right), our new Executive Director, brings years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience. Doris Reimer (left), our new Clinical Coordinator, brings a nursing career devoted to underserved communities, including many years at Immanuel's House.

We're grateful to have them both. Say hello when you see them!

Some goodbyes are really "see you later, Doctor."

We recently celebrated Valeria Lenahan, who is started medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine this fall. Valeria, we are so proud of you, and your future patients are lucky.

Thank you to our community partners at Serenity Seventhday Adventist Church for inviting Good Samaritan Free Healthcare to your Fall and Family Living Well Festival! Doris and I had a wonderful afternoon of worship, great music, and delicious food from all over the world. We offered free blood pressure checks and got to talk with so many great folks. We'll definitely be back next year! — Mary

Sparkling windows, organized shelves, and a garden ready for fall. That's what a Day of Caring looks like at Good Sam.

Thank you to the amazing volunteers from Procter & Gamble who spent United Way Day of Caring with us. They washed our clinic windows, tamed our overflowing supply closets, and harvested and cleaned up our Community Garden. These are the projects that always sit at the bottom of the list, and they knocked them all out.

Thank you, too, to United Way of the Eastern Panhandle for bringing hundreds of volunteers together to serve nonprofits across Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan counties. We're proud to be part of a community that shows up like this.

Open to all of our community.

Our community garden is growing strong this season, with fresh vegetables, bright marigolds, and a space anyone is welcome to enjoy. Health doesn't only happen in an exam room.
