Rescue Me WV’s low cost spay and neuter program has 2 appointments for this
summer season that need filling. We have one appointment on July 13 th , one for
August 19 th . I will also take two alternates that will be guaranteed a September.

Requirements
1. Proof that you are currently participating in a public assistance program. If you
are on multiple programs, you only need to send proof of enrollment in one.
Currently we do not accept Social Security, Veterans benefits or unemployment
as Public Assistance programs. Here is a list of accepted programs: Medicaid,
food stamps, SSI, disability, a DHHR case number, Mountain State Care, SNAP,
WIC, WV medical card, Uni-care health card, proof of income-based rent, proof
of enrollment in a low-energy assistance program or even a letter from a social
worker or case manager verifying that you are on public Assistance.
2. Proof of residency; you may send us a copy of your driver’s license or an electric
bill showing your name and address. All applicants must live in Berkeley,
Jefferson, or Morgan County.
Your Responsibilities:
The cost for you is $25 per dog (2 dog limit per household). We will cover the
remainder of the expenses including a rabies shot if needed, after-care pain
medications and a cone to protect the surgical area.
Small dogs should be brought to their clinic in a kennel, if possible.
You are required to transport your dog to and from Boonsboro MD.
DOG Requirements:
This round is for Female dogs under 50 lbs. Only apply if your dog is UNDER 50
lbs. You will be sent home with no surgery if the dog is over the weight limit.
No dogs under 5 lbs.
No pregnant, in heat or nursing mothers. Females must be 3o days post nursing
and 3o days post their heat cycle for a safe spay. If your female goes into heat
prior to the appointment, we need a 48-hour notice to change your appointment
date and find an alternate dog to fill the appointment, or you will loose your co-
payment and be excluded from future appointments.
You will receive an email within 48 hours of submitting your application. Please check your INBOX and SPAM FOLDER for your email. Failure to respond to our email and pay your co-payment within 5 business days will result in your application being denied and you will need to reapply for another round.
