I remember Ellie years ago when we rescued her, she had just given birth, most of her babies didn’t make it, and she was dealing with ringworm. Even through all of that, she was still a love bug and full of confidence.
So it’s depressing to see her almost 3 years later, scared to come out of her tower and feeling so low. I know this isn’t her true self. But yesterday brought a small win, she showed us that she likes to be brushed! We’ll keep showing up for her, one gentle step at a time. 💛
