Martinez Women's Club - GFWC We are service organization & meet monthly to plan projects to help better our community.

The GFWC Martinez Women's Club belongs to the California Federation of Women's Clubs (CFWC) and is the oldest service club in Martinez. We are also members of the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), one of the largest and oldest women's volunteer organizations in the world.

Our annual baby shower to benefit the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center Layette Program was another huge success. Members wrap their donations from the layette wish list and we take turns opening each others gifts. Thank you to Sarah Bradford from Child Advocates of Contra Costa County for presenting at our business meeting last night. She shared a lot of great information about the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, their tutoring program & the child advocates auxiliary circle. So many great opportunities to support children in foster care. Our club looks forward to working with them.
