Join MVSD as we celebrate World Environment Day. Help reduce plastic waste by choosing refillable bottles for drinking and cleaning. If you do use single-use plastics, make sure to recycle so it doesn’t end up in our waterways.

As the weather gets warmer, pet owners know that means flea and tick season. Avoid using outdoor sprays and spot-on products that contain harsh chemicals that can enter our local waterways. Ask your vet about oral medications and help protect your pets and the environment.

Does Sneezeweed really make you sneeze? Come find out!
Join us on June 20th at Moorhen Marsh for a hands-on Wetland Restoration Day!
Help restore this important habitat by removing invasive plants, supporting new growth, and learning about the unique ecology of our local wetlands. You’ll also get to meet the fascinating California sneezeweed—and even plant and take one home!
This event is organized by New Leaf Collaborative in partnership with Friends of Alhambra Creek () and Mt. View Sanitary District (), and is part of the Meet Me Martinez Initiative, sponsored by the Martinez Community Foundation. Space is limited, so RSVP using the QR code or follow the link: https://www.mvsd.org/wetland-restoration-day
All are welcome—bring a friend and come make a difference!
