Wednesday, May 11, was a big day at the Peter Crawford Cemetery. Some of our board members were present when we had ground penetrating radar done to determine what lies beneath the ground out there.

Welcome to the Peter Crawford Cemetery Historic Restoration Project. The Augusta Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was recently deeded this cemetery and we are currently trying to restore the graves of Revolutionary War Patriot Peter Crawford and his wife Mary. The property is located in the middle of a subdivision and we hope to make this a park area for residents and others to enjoy. This historic preservation project is ongoing and is funded by donations.
