Universal Fastpitch Ordaz/Rios, our coaching staff brings an exceptional level of experience, knowledge, and passion to every athlete we develop. Led by four highly accomplished coaches, including three former Division I collegiate athletes, our program is committed to preparing players to compete at the highest levels while fostering confidence, discipline, and a love for the game.
Coach Abel brings 20 years of coaching experience and a deep passion for player development. Over the past two decades, he has worked extensively with athletes of all ages and skill levels, focusing on building strong fundamentals, game awareness, and a competitive mindset. His ability to connect with players and teach the game in a clear, impactful way has made him a trusted mentor and leader within the program.
Coach Vicky brings 26 years of collegiate coaching experience and over 28 years as a professional softball instructor, in addition to competing at the collegiate level and playing Division I softball. She offers decades of firsthand experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed on and off the field.
Coach Destinie was a standout Division I player at Penn State, where she competed as both a catcher and third baseman. She offers athletes elite instruction in catching, infield play, leadership, and offensive development.
Coach Heidi pitched at Division I University of the Pacific (UOP), providing high-level expertise in pitching mechanics, strategy, mental toughness, and competitive performance.
Our mission is to develop fundamentally sound, confident athletes who are prepared to compete at the highest levels while building character, leadership, and a lifelong passion for the game. With four dedicated coaches and three former Division I collegiate athletes leading the way, our players receive a level of coaching that is truly second to none.
Universal Fastpitch Ordaz/Rios is holding Fall Tryouts for our 12U team, Class of 2032.
We are looking for dedicated athletes who are ready to work, learn, compete, and grow. Our program offers a strong core of returning players, four former Division 1 collegiate female coaches on staff, a 2025 PGF Nationals Berth, and a 2026 PGF Futures Challenge Invitation.

Day 1: Sunday, August 2nd from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Liberty High School, 850 2nd Street, Brentwood, California.
Day 2: Monday, August 3rd from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Apple Hill Park, 1866 Central Boulevard, Brentwood, California.
Private tryouts are also available upon request.
