from Pinole Valley High School for winning first place at the Poetry Out Loud Contra Costa County Finals Live Event!

POL Finals was held on Feb 10th, 2021. We had amazing participants from many schools throughout Contra Costa County. The event also included speakers such as County Supervisor John Gioia, Supervisor Candace Andersen, Chair Mitchoff, and County Superintendent of Schools Lynn Mackey.

Come support the finalists of Contra County High Schools and see who moves on to the state competition! This is a FREE event. Poetry Out Loud is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, Poetry Foundation, California Arts Council, and Arts and Culture Commission of Contra Costa County.
