🌱 Making an impact in Martin!

At our recent Kiwanis meetings, we were thrilled to host two inspiring local leaders:
Brittany Newton (Interim Martin City Manager) shared how Martin is moving forward with a new five-year plan, fresh leadership additions, key infrastructure projects like paving Hunter Drive, and upcoming community events in Virginia Weldon Park.

John Sellers gave us an inside look at the community-organized Grassroots Soybean Festival coming up Sept. 8–12, celebrating our local artists, food, small businesses, and agricultural roots!

🤝 Interested in making a difference in our community? We’d love to have you! Send our page a message or reach out to any Kiwanis member to learn how you can join us at an upcoming meeting.

Shout out to Jessica Gibson for a wonderful program last week! We all learned so much and got to take home some treats from her Little Free Library ourselves. 📚📖

Gibson said she started her first “Little Free Library” in 2021 after missing community connections during the COVID-19 shutdown...

⚾️ Home Run Summer Social! ⚾️

The Kiwanis Club of Martin had an absolute blast on the party deck at the Fulton Railroaders game!

Huge thanks to John Parr for smoking 30 lbs of amazing BBQ, and to our members for bringing the perfect sides. We especially loved feeding the team after the game—the players were so grateful for the home-cooked meal!

A special shoutout to our friends from the Kiwanis Club of the Twin Cities Ken-Tenn for joining the fun and bringing dessert! 🍰🤝
Great baseball, great food, and even better friends!
