As of 6/9, current water conditions look good ☀️🛶🏊‍♀️

Enjoy the water and stay pond-smart:
• Don’t swallow pond water
• Rinse off afterwards to be extra safe
• If anything looks or smells off, trust your senses

More soon on how monitoring works and the groups helping keep an eye on Long Pond 💙🌊

🙂Lights Competition 🙂

Would you like to participate in an outdoors Village lights and display competition in MM during the month of December?

We will be giving away a first,second and third place prize of a gift basket of goodies and a winners certificate from the MMVA for the outdoor lights display chosen by the most votes from the community.

All you do is let us know you want to participate send us a picture of your lights and display once they are up we add the address to our publicly posted list for villagers to drive around to. Look at all the participating displays come back to the page and vote for the one that you like best. ( businesses not included)

🌲 Also the MM Tree Lighting is happening again this year on the Burgess House lawn. Lights, songs, snacks,kids craft, raffle basket...

This now media famous group of retired ladies known as Old Ladies Against Underwater Garbage, visited our pond 2 weeks ago. They were very impressed with how clean Long Pond was and found only 1 can underwater in their several hour search for underwater garbage.

This group of ladies, ages 64 to 85, swim, snorkel and dive in our fresh water ponds looking to remove all sorts of garbage. Formed 5 years, they estimate they have removed over 6 thousand pounds of garbage from various Cape Cod freshwater ponds.
