Dublin is once again participating in our 2027 calendar contest.

Her story is like so many Pyrs who need the care that rescue can provide: she came to us with three other Pyrs after a large number of dogs were seized from a hoarder.

With time and encouragement, Dublin blossomed into a happy girl who is a wonderful sister to her human and canine brothers. Dogs who would never make it alive out of a kill shelter with a short adoption clock thrive because of rescue.

Dogs like Dublin are why we do what we do. If you believe in second chances for the GREATEST dogs, support our largest annual fundraiser and vote!

You want to kiss his snout, don't you?!

Let's talk about another contestant in our 2027 calendar contest!

Some breed rescues don't take in mixes.

We get it. They are often harder to place.

Our policy is that if the floof is part-Pyr or a related guardian breed and we think we can place the dog with the kind of adopters who come to us, we help!

Over the years, we've taken in a rainbow of Pyr mixes, including sweet Finnegan, a Pyr/Golden mix who is the best of boys. All the dogs are PYRFECT -- even the ones who are just part Pyr!

If you would like to vote for Finnegan for our 2027 calendar contest or support us so that we can continue to help PYRFECT mixes, click here:

Mollie Grace is another contestant in our 2027 calendar contest.

She came to the rescue after she had been dumped in a state park. A whole pack of people worked together to get her to us so that she could have a second chance.

Things like this happen more frequently these days. Sure, Pyrs roam, but we suspect that dogs found in places far from any residences were abandoned. And so Mollie was having her adventure, but it didn't get her down!

That adventure led her to her human, and Mollie fits right in with her GSD siblings. As you can tell from this picture, she is still enjoying adventures in her .

Time to showcase another contestant in our 2027 calendar contest!

Ozzy wasn't adopted from us, but his mom found us online and is part of this wonderful rescue family of Pyr-lovers in the Carolinas that we have built over the years.

We welcome all Pyrs, Pyr mixes, their Pyrents, and Pyr-lovers to participate in our events, including our calendar contest.

Why? Well, it is simple.

ALL of the dogs are Pyrfect -- whatever their backstory!

Let's brag about another contestant in our 2027 calendar contest!

Rescue isn't just about savings dogs. We help humans, too.

A lot of the people who come to us to adopt have lost a dog, and there's a giant hole in their hearts. Somehow, when those people visit the rescue, the right dog fills it like a puzzle piece.

Maybe their angel dog picks a new family member from across the rainbow bridge. Maybe the new dog senses that there's big paws to fill in a loving home. Maybe humans and dogs who need each other *just know.*

When Bianca met Tom and Debbie, there was no doubt that she was *their* dog. Not that she would replace Charlotte -- no dog can -- but it was clear that she was their *next* heart dog.

That's rescue.

To make second chances possible for more dogs like Bianca, please vote for her or any of our contestants. Voting ends Sunday!

Uno came to us from a shelter partner. He was *dealt a bad hand* in life until now.

Uno came to us heartworm positive, but we are going to *reverse* course and get him healthy.

We can't *skip* ahead to his adoption, but we will find his when he is ready!

If you love puns, Pyrs, and card games, hit like, share Uno's profile, and follow us!
