Griese Park Playground Renovation - Forward Fun Zone Forward Fun Zone, an all-inclusive playground for all abilities and ages, is located at Griese Park in Marshfield, WI! Built in August 2026!

MACCI's Leadership Marshfield Volunteers: Abby Meyer, Lindsey Safford, Bill Thomas & Connie Michalski. Our goal is to raise $500,000 for the purchase and installation of safer playground equipment. 🎉💙 WHAT A NIGHT… AND WHAT’S NEXT?! 💚🎉

WOW! 🤩 We are absolutely blown away by the incredible turnout for the Forward Fun Zone Grand Opening! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect ☀️, the park was PACKED, and seeing so many kids and families laughing, playing, and enjoying this space was everything we hoped for and more! 🛝🥳💜

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and helped make the Grand Opening such a HUGE success! 🎉 We are so incredibly grateful for the support and excitement our community has shown for Forward Fun Zone! 💚💙

✨ So… what’s next?! ✨

We’re not quite finished yet! 👏 A few additional features will still be added, landscaping will be completed 🌳🌸, and our park benches and picnic tables will be installed as soon as they arrive! 🪑🧺 They were unfortunately delayed due to the vinyl color selected, but they ARE coming!

There’s still a little more to come, but the best part is…

🎉🛝 FORWARD FUN ZONE IS OFFICIALLY OPEN AND READY TO BE ENJOYED! 🛝🎉

We can’t wait to watch this space continue to come together and, most importantly, see our community making memories here for years to come! 💙💚✨

After so much planning, hard work, and incredible community support, the Forward Fun Zone Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening is happening TODAY from 5–8 PM! 💗💙💚

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Mother Nature cooperates with us 🤞so we can properly celebrate this amazing new space together! 🥳

Come join us for a fun-filled evening with:

🏰 Bounce houses (FREE!)
🚚 Food trucks
🪨 Hidden painted rocks to find for prizes (limit one per child please)

After so much planning, hard work, and community support, we are SO excited to officially celebrate the Grand Opening of Forward Fun Zone! 💙💚

Come join us tomorrow from 5–8 PM for a night of family fun! We’ll have:

❤️ We’re also using this celebration as an opportunity to give back! If you’re able, please bring a donation for Copper Paws Rescue, Inc. or Marshfield Area United Way’s Nutrition on Weekends program. Every donation helps support pets and kids right here in our community 🐾🥪🍎

🪨🎨 ROCK HUNT AT FORWARD FUN ZONE’S GRAND OPENING! 🎨🪨

We have an extra-fun surprise for the Grand opening on Tuesday, August 18 from 5-8 pm! 50 adorable hand-painted rocks have been generously donated by Vicki’s Hand Painted Stones, and we’ll be hiding them throughout the playground for kids to find! 🌈🐞🌸🦋

🔎 HOW IT WORKS:
Find one of the hidden painted rocks and bring it up for a PRIZE! 🎉

✨ One rock/prize per child, please.
✨ After showing us your rock and receiving your prize, the rock is yours to KEEP! ❤️

There are 50 completely unique designs to discover, so keep those little eyes peeled while you’re playing!

✨ A huge THANK YOU to Vicki’s Hand Painted Stones for donating these beautiful rocks and adding a little extra fun and kindness to our playground. 🥰

🛍️ Love the rocks? You’re in luck! Vicki will also have a booth set up at the event where you can purchase some of her hand-painted stones to take home. She has so many fun, creative and seriously cool designs — be sure to stop by and check them out! 🎨🪨💗

🚧 THE FINAL DETAILS ARE COMING TOGETHER! 🛝🌳💚

We’re officially in the home stretch at Forward Fun Zone! 🙌 It’s so exciting to see all of the pieces we’ve been planning for come to life just in time for our Grand Opening on Tuesday, August 18! 🎉

Here’s what’s been happening at the park this week:

✨Fence installed at the 2-5 area!
✨Poured-in-place surfacing pathways are IN!
✨ Sidewalk is finished up/poured out!
✨ Pavilion/picnic area is poured!
✨ Bench pads are going in!

And over the next few days, many people will be working hard to add those last finishing touches:

🪵 Engineered wood fiber install
🪧 Donor & sponsor signage install
🪑 Adirondack chair install
🌳 Landscaping (final to happen after the Grand Opening) & trees
🪣 Final site cleanup 🧽

After so much planning, fundraising, community support, and hard work, it’s pretty incredible to see Forward Fun Zone looking more and more complete every day. 💚

We can’t wait to welcome everyone and celebrate together!

🎉 Just 11 days to go! 🎉

The countdown is officially on! We’re just 11 days away from the Forward Fun Zone Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening on Tuesday, August 18, from 5:00–8:00 PM, and we couldn’t be more excited!

🤩 Over the next week, we’ll be sharing some of the fun giveaways and a few surprises we have planned for Grand Opening night—so stay tuned! 👀

In the meantime, here’s a look at what’s happening behind the scenes and over the next week or so:
🛠️ The picnic area will be formed and prepared for concrete now that shade is installed.
🚧 The fence will be installed around the small children’s play area.
🔩 Crews are installing the final playground components, tightening every bolt and piece of hardware, and completing final safety checks to make sure everything is ready for opening day.
🚧 Surfacing will be installed next week, along with the donor sign and Adirondack chair!

🚨 There will be a lot of activity in the coming days - please remember to stay off the playground equipment until opening day! 🚨

🎈 Mark your calendars, invite your friends and family, and get ready for an evening of fun on August 18th!
