Looking for a fun way to make a difference this summer?

C2 Makerspace is seeking a few afternoon volunteers to help during our Summer Camps! No teaching experience required — we're simply looking for a second set of hands to encourage students, answer questions, and help kids throughout the afternoon with their projects.

Camp Dates:
• June 15–17 | 1:00–3:00 PM
• June 22–24 | 1:00–3:00 PM

Whether you can volunteer for one camp week or both, we'd love to have you join us.

Come support creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning while helping local youth build confidence through making.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our leatherworking class at C2 Makerspace, and a special thank you to Liberty Leathers with Jana for sharing her skills and creativity with our community!

Attendees of all ages had the opportunity to explore a variety of leather stamping techniques and add painted details to their projects. It was a great afternoon of learning, creativity, and hands-on fun together!

We loved seeing the interest in leatherworking and may have additional leatherworking class opportunities in the future, so stay tuned!

❄️Club Update ❄️
Cold temps mean clubs are cancelled tonight for 1-22-26 but you can take learning home tonight with a few challenges below!

🔧 1. Build a Paper Bridge Challenge
Supplies: paper, tape (optional), coins or small objects
Challenge students to build a bridge using only paper that can hold the most weight. Test it with coins and talk about strength, structure, and design.

🧊 2. Ice & Salt Science Experiment
Supplies: ice cubes, salt, bowl
Sprinkle salt on ice and observe how it melts faster. Explore why salt lowers the freezing point and where this is used in real life (hello, winter roads!).

With the weather rolling in again, evening clubs will be closed for safety today. Please stay safe, warm, and off the roads when you can. We’ll see you all next week! ❄️
