Fearless Drawing - More is More! with Suzette Lebenzon
has a couple spots left!!

Saturday, June 20, 9AM – 4PM

Explore sketching with abandonment. Step out of your comfort zone and draw with a variety of materials, letting all the imperfections, “mistakes,” and corrections lead you to beautiful discoveries and exciting images. Perfectionism is highly overrated. Let fearless mark making lead you to dynamic images that engage and delight! Layer, smudge, erase…it’s all good.

It’s baaaaack — Our silent auction, Outside the Box, is returning this summer!

This exhibit encourages artists to create art outside their usual medium or style. To make the auction even more intriguing, artwork will be identified by number only. The artists’ names won’t be revealed until the silent auction ends, challenging viewers to trust their instincts and bid on what they like. Artists names will be revealed at our closing party September 5.

Artists who want to participate can pick up a free panel at NRAS M-TH 9am-1pm or at the Frame Center of Hanover during their operating hours.

Exhibit Dates - August 8 - September 5

Opening Reception August 8, 6pm

Finished panels must be brought back to NRAS by August 1. All panels will be donation to North River Arts. Please read more at NorthRiverArts.org or contact our office.

Every year, NRAS awards a graduating senior pursuing the arts at the college level our Felida ‘Babe’ Cusick Scholarship sponsored the Cusick family. This year we are thrilled to support Max Coakley in his creative endeavors.

Max is a current Marshfield High School Senior. He is an active member of MHS Swim Team and Art Club and plans to attend Massachusetts College of Art and Design.

His artwork is strong and technically excellent, showing a personal commitment to imagery, powerful emotion, and an excellent sense of color and composition. His passion for photography is clear and we can’t wait to see where art takes him — Congratulations, Max!

View his work in our gallery through June 25 or online at NorthRiverArts.org

We’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with to take the Festival Children’s Tent to new heights and launch our first ever Regional Juried Youth Art Exhibit!

This partnership feels like a natural fit between two organizations that believe deeply in the power of the arts to strengthen community, inspire creativity, and help the next generation find their voice.

Over the years, The Levitate Foundation has helped support our Children’s Tent - creating opportunities for young artists and makers to engage with creativity in hands-on, meaningful ways - and this year, they’re helping us take things even further as we expand and elevate the experience for kids and families, opening the door to the joys of creativity and self-expression for the next generation.

Through this partnership, The Levitate Foundation is also helping launch our first-ever juried Youth Art Exhibit - an exciting new addition we’ve hoped to create for some time, designed to celebrate and encourage talented young artists from across the South Shore, and support the young people who are deeply committed to their craft in an effort to help keep them creating. This is an exciting opportunity for young artists to submit work professionally and exhibit their talents in our gallery spaces. We are thrilled to have received submissions from across the regional and look forward to this opportunity growing with every Festival.

We’re incredibly grateful for their support and excited to continue creating spaces where creativity, community, and the next generation of artists can thrive together!

Thank you to and our first ever juried youth exhibit judges for their thoughtful consideration of each piece.
