CAPS is hiring a full time Family Support Specialist!

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children in Marshall and Tama County? Family Support Specialists offer home visits, support, and advocacy to families with children who reside in Marshall and Tama County. In this position you will provide family support, help parents problem-solve to find solutions, and link them to resources.

Starting wage: $20 to $24 based on experience and education.

Requirements:
🔵High school diploma - 2 year degree preferred
🔵Valid driver's license
🔵Proof of car liability insurance

We want to give a special shoutout to Variety - the Children's Charity of Iowa and Prairie Meadows for awarding grants to help fund our Nest program.

Why is this program important? The Nest is a resource and incentive store where families in Marshall County who are enrolled can use points earned through healthy activities and participation to access needed baby and child items.

Helping parents provide for their families while creating healthy foundations.

Have you heard of Sleep in Heavenly Peace? ❤️
We know one precious family who has been so incredibly blessed by their mission: “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town.”

We are beyond thankful to welcome Sleep in Heavenly Peace as a new community partner in Marshall County! Their kindness, generosity, and commitment to making sure every child has a safe and comfortable place to sleep is truly inspiring.

We’re excited to share a few photos from a recent bed delivery to a CAPS family—and that sweet little boy snuggled up in his very own bed.

Moments like this remind us what can happen when a community comes together to care for its children. Thank you, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, for helping make dreams a little sweeter and bedtime a whole lot more special.

At CAPS, so much of what we do to fulfill our mission is about caring for others.

But caring for others starts with caring for each other, too.

Today, our Staff Wellness Committee put together the sweetest little brunch box for our team—a simple reminder to pause, enjoy a little something, and take a moment to fill our own cups.

The work we do matters. And so do the people doing it.

A Birthday to Remember!🎂

Throughout the summer, a couple of local church groups donated birthday cake and celebration kits filled with the special touches that help make a child's birthday feel extra special.

And this sweet face?

This is their FIRST birthday! 🎉🎂

Because of a donated birthday kit, this little one got to celebrate with a cake made just for them!
