We were honored to present the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA with the 2026 Tourism Champion award during the Chamber Annual Banquet on Thursday evening! The Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA embodies what it means to be a Tourism Champion. We are lucky to have them as such a great community asset!

Chamber Event & Tourism Coordinator Brittany Sichra and Chamber Board Chair Zach Stahlin stand with representatives of the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA. In 2025, the Chamber established the Tourism Champion Award. This is “dedicated to the organization or individual who promotes, supports, and helps grow Marshalltown as a destination.”

Better late than never!

Last Wednesday marked 7 years of Sarah Smith with the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce. As Vice President for the Chamber, Sarah has been an incredible part of this team, and we are so grateful for everything she brings to this organization every single day.

She also, for the record, knows exactly how to make a work anniversary post. She just chose not to last Wednesday. Her boss noticed.

Seven years, Sarah. Congratulations, we are lucky to have you!

Chamber members! See you tomorrow at Caffeinated Conversations hosted by Karl of Marshalltown!
