There are a lot of questions regarding this newly implemented legislation that deals with student behavior. ISEA has worked throughout the summer with both SAI (School Administrators of Iowa) and IASB (Iowa Association of School Boards) on this bill. Several resources were created to support you at the ISEA website. They have also prepared several resources on SF 2428 on our website at this link:

Yesterday's Welcome Luncheon for new teachers joining the Marshalltown Community School District was very successful! Rick Moore and our local MEA representatives discussed with incoming teachers the importance of being a union member as well as the ample benefits.

This was a wonderful time for introductions and networking over pizza and snacks!
