It is with enormous sadness that we acknowledge the death of a former cadet, McCallaster Foley. Foley passed away while in training with the Unied States Army.
At the time of Foley’s passing, this is a moment to reflect on the great wonder of life and in particular the life of McCallaster.
As stated by a father of another cadet, "McCallaster was an amazing young man that wanted nothing more than to serve the Country he LOVED! This Country and many other young men and women are better because of him. His loyal friendship and his desire to do great things meant the world to me as a dad. Godspeed “Foley”, we’ll take it from here!"
An event like this touches all members of the CID Alumni community in different ways, and I encourage people to find the support needed. I encourage you to reach out to one another during this difficult time and to continue to share condolences and show support for McCallaster's family and friends. You may also find it helpful to be in touch with your own loved ones; they can be of great support in this difficult time.
McCallaster's family is making celebration of life arrangements. Those arrangements remain pending at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls, Iowa, as of this writing.
