What a great day at the Minnesota State Fair!

Thank you to all the SMSU alumni who came out to our alumni gathering on Friday. It was great to reconnect, catch up, and enjoy some time together at the Fair - along with more than 204,000 other fairgoers (a new Friday attendance record).

Thanks for making our SMSU gathering a fun part of the Great Minnesota Get-Together. We hope to see you again soon.

If you haven't been back to Marshall in a while, here is a bit of summer fun happening here today... The new City of Marshall aquatic center, aka, "The Splash" is opening today. There ribbon cutting ceremony was this morning at 10:00. If you happen to be making a trip to Marshall in the near future, be sure to drive by this new city pool, near the Marshall Area YMCA. And ALWAYS plan to stop by the Elizabeth Lockwood SMSU Alumni & Visitor Center to learn about and connect with SMSU. Happy Summer!

A great time was enjoyed by all who attended the annual non-sanctioned SMSU Alumni Sweet Corn Feed at 7 Mile Creek County Park near St. Peter. Special thanks to Tom Moldenhaur for sharing the picture, Dave Sanderson for bringing his grill, Jason Mortvedt for providing the sweet corn and Tom Quarnstrom for donning the chef's gear and making the corn!
