The Michigan Farmers' Hall of Fame is saddened to learn of the recent loss of three esteemed inductees:
Velmar Green, Clinton County - 2017 Inductee (February 4, 2026)

Maury Kaercher, Kalamazoo County - 2022 Inductee (February 10, 2026)

Remus Rigg, Branch County - 2023 Inductee (January 27, 2026)

Each of them dedicated their lives to their families, strengthening Michigan agriculture, and uplifting their communities. Their hard work, stewardship of the land, and commitment to farming excellence leave a legacy that will inspire future generations for years to come.
We're grateful for their contributions to Michigan agriculture, and extend our deepest condolences to their families and loved ones.
