LOVE'S TRAVEL STOPS OFFICIALLY BREAKS GROUND IN

Love's Travel Stops has officially broken ground on its new location at Marshall Junction in Saline County, Missouri.

The new travel stop will serve travelers along the Interstate corridor while also creating new opportunities for the local community through jobs, expanded services, and new dining options.

Barbara Peck, Real Estate Project Manager for Love’s Travel Stops noted that the Marshall Junction location fills an important geographic gap between existing Interstate 70 locations while also bringing new food concepts like Subway, Godfather’s Pizza, and Love’s Fresh Kitchen to local residents.

The location is expected to feature fuel services, convenience retail, fresh food offerings, and amenities designed for both professional drivers and everyday travelers.

The travel stop is tentatively expected to open this fall.

📣 𝗠𝗠𝗨 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗣𝟯 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Marshall Municipal Utilities (MMU) has earned the 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 (𝗥𝗣𝟯)® 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 from the American Public Power Association (APPA).

This three-year designation recognizes utilities that demonstrate excellence in 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆, 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. MMU joins more than 250 public power utilities nationwide that hold this distinction.

“We are incredibly proud to earn this designation,” said General Manager Jeff Bergstrom. “We go to work every day to safely ensure reliable service to the Marshall community, and it’s rewarding to see that commitment recognized on a national level.”

One important part of what we do is respond to “RFIs” — Requests for Information.

When a company is considering expanding or relocating, they often send RFIs to communities like ours. These requests ask for details about available buildings and land, workforce, utilities, infrastructure, and more. Communities submit information, and companies use it to decide where they might want to invest.
