Camp Fern Legacy Set on a private lake in the midst of the East Texas Piney Woods, Camp Fern Legacy is a sleep-away summer camp for children ages 6 to 16.

We are based on Christian beliefs with respect for all people. Camp Fern Legacy is seeking to become a non-profit organization to ensure the sustainable and successful operation of Camp, maintain its heritage and better serve future generations. Camp Fern Legacy encourages boys and girls to grow into well-balanced, self-assured young men and women. Children learn to value nature, to follow their passions and interests, to be thoughtful leaders, humble winners, and gracious losers. Personal development is at the center of a Fern summer.

Meet Erica Olsen, our new Executive Director! 🌟

Erica first came to Fern as an 11-year-old camper, where she made friendships that are still some of her closest today. Since then, she’s spent more than 20 years in camp leadership, helping create the same kind of meaningful camp experience that shaped her own childhood.

She believes deeply in what camp gives kids: confidence, independence, lifelong friendships, a sense of belonging, and plenty of time spent in the great outdoors!

And if you see her around Fern this summer, be sure to say hi. Bonus points if you’re ready for a high five...or MMMBop comes on. 😉

We’re so excited for this next chapter at Camp Fern Legacy. Welcome home, Erica! 💚
