A Very Happy 100th Birthday to Winnie-the-Pooh! 🎈

On October 14, everyone's favorite silly old bear turns 100! 💛

We're celebrating a century of adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with a display of adorable collection of Winnie-the-Pooh items in our Children's Room!

Stop by, browse the display, and revisit the timeless stories of Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, and all their friends.

Imagine What’s Possible!

A dedicated youth floor, a purpose-built storytime room, quiet study spaces, and more room for books, technology, and community connections!

As our community continues to grow, we want our library to grow right along with it.

These are just a few of the exciting possibilities a future Mars Area Public Library could offer!

👻🏆 And the winner of our Creepy Doll Contest is…Kally S.

We had some seriously spooky entries this year, and you all made voting a tough decision! A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated, stopped by to admire the creepy creations, and cast their votes!

A special shoutout to The Beacon for generously donating our winner's prize! We appreciate your support of our library and our wonderfully weird ideas!

Please make sure to pick up your creepy creations by Friday, October 16! We love your dolls, but we're not sure we want them hanging around after dark. 👀

Now for the big question… should we bring the Creepy Doll Contest back next year?! 🎃

✍️ Teens, put pen to paper!

Join professional author, speaker, and journaling facilitator Kim Boucek for a hands-on introduction to personal journaling.

Teens will explore how journaling can help build confidence, encourage self-reflection, and create meaningful connections all while developing a practice they can continue on their own.

Books, books, and more books!

Here’s a little timelapse from Day One and Saturday of the Friends of the Mars Area Public Library Fall Book Sale. It was so much fun watching the tables empty out as books found their new homes!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported the Friends, and picked up something “new to you.” We hope you found a few treasures!

Stop by our Community Room for the Friends of the Library Book Sale & Raffle, or find Mr. Vince out front with a fun kids craft!

We hope you’ll stop by and see us while you’re enjoying Applefest!
