Braving the storm with a heart full of hope! 🌪️💚Today we witnessed the devastation all around us. As a Girl Scout our mission is to do a good turn daily and uplift our community in times of need. Girl Scouts are on a mission to fill the Little Free Food Pantry during Hurricane Helene we will continue to lend a helping hand and support our community as a troop. Our Little Free Food Pantry may be small, but we’re dedicated to keeping it stocked this week and beyond. Together, we rise, share, and support our community, no matter the weather! If you have donations for the pantry please stop by and place it for others. Now is the time for sharing what we have. If you have items and can’t get out let us know and we can get them for the pantry.💚✨ "

Our troop works very hard each week taking turns stocking and cleaning out the pantry. This week we have filled it up and it’s ready for those in need.

While we would love to stock more than once weekly we don’t have a large enough budget to do so.
The little free food pantry movement is a community based movement with the basis of leave what you can and take what you need.

If you are cleaning out your cupboards and have items that you plan to throw out or are not using please consider donating those items to our pantry. Questions about donations, drop off, or location. Please reach out.
Thank you to everyone in the community for the support of the troop and their efforts to maintain the pantry for all to use.
Also special thanks to Mars Hill United Methodist Church for partnering with us on this project and stocking it as well.

Pantry has been cleaned out and stocked just in time for back to school! Has various individual sized snacks, school items, diapers and personal care items📚🖍️✏️. Take what you need and leave what you can.

Girls in troop 42504 working hard to make sure the pantry is stocked with items for others!

Want to share with others here are a few ideas to place in the pantry box.
Snack items like granola bars, gummies, nuts, crackers.
Shelf stable foods like pasta, rice, canned goods.
We also like to keep some personal care products in there like diapers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine products, shampoo or soap.
Fun items to add for the summer while kids are out of school can be items like bubbles, crayons, coloring books, sunscreen to name a few.
