Champions for the Challenged

Champions for the Challenged Champions for the Challenged is a non profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities.

Cadiz Charities Corporation, DBA Champions for the Challenged, is a 501(C)(3) charity whose mission is to support those individuals that are intellectually and/or physically challenged. The citizens we serve are generally clients of a residential support agency, a school of special education, or a referral from another community group that works with disabled people.

Sunday, May 18, Howard County Special Olympics will be hosting the annual State of MD. Softball Tournament. Most counties in our state will be fielding a team. Come out to Kiwanis Wallis field in Ellicott City ( intersection of route 40 W and Route 144 Frederick Rd.)
and cheer on your favorite Speciall Olympics athlete and team. The event is free and is a joy to experience. Champions will be there to root for our heroes.

We had the return of our annual Christmas Party yesterday at the beautiful Church of the Ressurection hall in Ellicott City. Co Sponsored by K of C Council, we treater over 100 guests to a day of fun, fellowship, and laughter.The parish contemporary music group played live Christmas carols for an enthusiastic sing along. Smiles, hugs love, and oh yeah, pizza, we're the order of the day. We look forward to seeing our peeps next year. MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'ALL !!!!!

We are so excited to restart our annual Christmas party. Covid and a major parish renovation took us out of commission for three years. But we are back in a beautifully renovated handicapped accessible parish hall. The event is cosponsored by the Resurrection Knights of Columbus Council. See you there!

The 2024 State of Md. Special Olympics Soft ball tournament, sponsored by HCSO, is this Sunday with opeming ceremonies at 9. Champions for the Challenged will be there bringing hydration for the athletes. As many as 13 counties participate im this annual event. Don't miss it!
