It is with a heavy heart that I need to tell you that a huge friend of the special needs community, John McCuen , passed away last night. John served the intellectualy challenged for many years as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was one of the founding members of Champions for the Challenged. We pray for him and his family. We will never forget his contributions.The picture below is a huge ceramic artwork on display at the Port Discovery Children's Museum in Baltimore. John was a huge contributor on this project, collecting donated broken tiles, raising money for supplies, and working with the students at the George McMechen School to assemble this under the guidance of Gilda Oliver . Rest easy John!
