You WILL be thanked for your business, and not because that employee has been trained to do so, but because they truly appreciate you coming in! When you spend money at a small business, you aren't helping some millionaire buy his third vacation home, you are helping someone feed their family, or helping them with a mortgage payment, or helping someones child pay for college! Your money isn't just tossed away into some huge pool, where it will be used to perpetuate some businessman's money machine! It gets sent off to a home, where the people are thankful just to have people like you!
