Directions Contact the organization

Queen City Seed Library A free community resource of open pollinated seeds to promote food sovereignty. Find us on the main floor of the Peter White Public Library, Marquette MI.

We request saved seeds are returned for others to grow in future growing seasons. The Queen City Seed Library was established to encourage and ensure we have a population of seeds adapted to and available in our northern climate. The library is located in the old card catalog at the Peter White Public Library. Please check out seeds to plant in the spring, save seeds from a few of the plants and return the saved seeds for next year. We need your participation to continue. If you have any questions please send us an email. We know there is a gardening and seed saving learning curve so we'd love to connect. In addition to maintaining the physical library, we also host events throughout the year including the Marquette Seed Swap, the Marquette Plant Swap, seed saving educational events, and a harvest potluck.
