Zonta Club of the Marquette Area

Zonta Club of the Marquette Area Building a Better World for Women and Girls. ๐ŸŒŸ Our purpose is to raise funds and awareness for community programs and international priorities.

Zonta gives you the chance to be a part of something much larger than yourself...

Zonta allows you to give of yourself to others, to actively participate in the selection of service projects to help your community, and to improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women worldwide. The Zonta Club of the Marquette Area meets the first and third Monday of

every month at the Marquette Women's Federated Clubhouse. Annually over $6,000 in local grants and scholarships are provided to the Marquette Area to aid women and children's programs. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’› The Zonta Club of the Marquette Area was proud to be part of Pride Fest in Marquette!

What a wonderful day celebrating diversity, inclusion, and the strength of our community. We enjoyed connecting with so many people, sharing information about Zonta's mission, and supporting a world where everyone is valued, respected, and empowered.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared a smile, and helped make the day so special. Together, we continue working toward equality, opportunity, and a brighter future for all.

Weโ€™re proud to spotlight members Kim, Holly and Molly of the Zonta Club of the Marquette Area at Marquette County Habitat for Humanity and ReStore Women Build 2026! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ”จ

As this yearโ€™s Event Sponsor, Zonta members didnโ€™t just support Women Build โ€” they showed up ready to work, volunteer, encourage, and help build a stronger community for local families.

Their dedication to empowering women and improving the lives of others shines both on and off the build site. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership, leadership, and hands-on commitment to affordable housing in Marquette County.

Thank you, Zonta Club of the Marquette Area, for helping us build hope, strength, and stability โ€” one wall, one nail, and one family at a time. ๐Ÿ โœจ

Women Build 2026 officially kicks off today โ€” the first day of our exciting 3-day build event! We are so grateful to our event sponsor, Zonta Club of the Marquette Area , for helping make this incredible opportunity possible.

This yearโ€™s theme, โ€œGive to Gain,โ€ celebrates the power of generosity, teamwork, and community. When we give our time, talents, and support, we help build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter for local families.

Thereโ€™s still time to join us on Friday and Saturday! No construction experience is needed โ€” just bring your willingness to learn, connect, and make a difference.

Participants will enjoy:
โœจ Hands-on building experience
โœจ Inspirational speakers
โœจ Lunch provided daily
โœจ Opportunities to learn new skills
โœจ New friendships and community connections
โœจ An official Women Build T-shirt

A one-time suggested donation of $25 helps support this impactful event.

Weโ€™re proud to celebrate the leadership and dedication of our local Zontians who continue to serve women and girls not only in our community, but throughout Michigan and beyond.

Earlier this month, members Luci Contois and Kim LeTourneau attended the Zonta International District 15 Governorโ€™s Reception hosted by the Zonta Club of Midland. The event recognized Luci as she completed her two-year term as Area 1 Director and welcomed the new District 15 Board of Directors โ€” including Kim, who is beginning her own two-year term as Area 1 Director.

Thank you, Luci and Kim, for your willingness to lead, serve, and represent the Zonta Club of the Marquette Area at the district level. We are grateful for members who step forward to strengthen Zontaโ€™s mission across our state and beyond!

Great news this week! The Zonta Club of the Marquette Area has approved a grant to help financially support our efforts again this year! This support will help us empower women and girls internationally and locally as we work to address period poverty by helping every menstruator have what she needs to manage her cycle. We are so grateful for Zonta's support!
