Special visitor alert! 🚨
The IT department from Simplified Business Solutions stopped by during our before-school program, and the kids immediately decided that Jake was none other than Jake from State Farm! 😂
Thank you, Jake, for being such a good sport and signing autographs for your adoring fans. You definitely made some kids' day!

Sometimes it's the little things that create the biggest smiles. 😊

Who knew we could have so much fun making slime! Our Slime club ended the year making edible slime!

What a great community event!

The latest data showed that food insecurity among children in our region has increased by 52.5%. Approximately 1 in 7 people living in the Upper Peninsula face food insecurity, affecting roughly 40,000 residents. For individuals struggling to afford housing, utilities, transportation, and other necessities, the additional burden of high food prices can have a significant impact on household budgets. Connecting people to the resources they need is at the heart of our mission at UPHCS, and our 8th Annual Marquette County Community Resource Fair is one of the ways we put that mission into action.

On Friday, June 12th at Lakeview Arena, join us from 2:00-5:00 PM for a free community meal generously sponsored by The Salvation Army Marquette County, MI. Stop by and speak with these participating partners working to address food insecurity in our community:
• Community Action Alger Marquette
• Feeding America West Michigan
• Ishpeming Multi-Purpose Senior Center
• Michigan Department of Health and Human Services(MDHHS)
• Marquette Food Co-op
• Marquette Senior Center
• Negaunee Senior Citizens Center
• The Salvation Army Marquette County, MI
• United Way of Marquette County
• UPCAP Services
• Upper Peninsula Health Plan Community Health Workers
• Forsyth Senior Center

Stay tuned for more updates on the many local organizations we will be hosting at the resource fair. We hope to see you there, and don't forget to check the comments for more food resources and information from our partners at Feeding America West Michigan.

When you earn it, the celebration feels even sweeter 🍭✨
Our kids chose a Candy Land–themed party to celebrate Kindness and Respect, we went all out! From a life-size game board to chocolate dipping, sugar art, jelly bean tastings, and an outdoor scavenger hunt—every moment was packed with fun.
But the best part? The sound of their laughter. Nothing sweeter than that 💛
