Today, Tayler Ruby, FNP-C, represented UGL at a Michigan Tech orientation resource fair, connecting with incoming students and families and sharing information about healthcare services available in the local community.

Tayler sees patients for acute care and walk-in visits at our Houghton Family Health Center, helping students and community members access care for illnesses, minor injuries, and other unexpected health concerns.

Emily provides individual and family counseling services for children and adolescents ages 5-17 and their families through our Marquette Family Health Center. She supports patients experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, life changes, and more, helping children, teens, and families navigate challenges and build healthy coping skills. Emily primarily offers in-person counseling services in Marquette, with telehealth available on a case-by-case basis to help improve access to care for patients and families across the Upper Peninsula.

We had a great group of UGL staff and volunteers come together last week for our spring Adopt-A-Highway cleanups in Allouez and Gwinn!

Together, volunteers collected nearly 50 bags of trash to help support cleaner roadsides and healthier communities across the Upper Peninsula.

We are proud to share that two members of the Upper Great Lakes Family Health team were recently recognized by the Michigan Primary Care Association (MPCA) for their leadership and dedication to service.

Trevor Hodges, CEO, received a Healthcare Leadership Award, and Sarah Tregembo, Practice Manager of our Gwinn and Sawyer Clinics, was honored with a Distinguished Service Award. Trevor and Sarah both exemplify the mission and values of UGL through the care and support they provide to our teams, patients, and communities.

This helps allow better access to care when you need it most. This is an especially great resource for MTU students who are far from home that need to be seen when health concerns arise.
