Walker AMBUCS

Walker AMBUCS The Walker AMBUCS club was established in 1981. Since we began, we have been very involved with Indian Trails Camp.

And by raising money, we are able to provide individuals with disabilities AmTrykes to facilitate independence in mobility.

🌟 A huge shoutout to The Crushed Grape for their incredible work in curating the perfect selection of reds, whites, and brews for our 12th Annual Reds, Whites, and Brews Fundraiser! 🍷🍻

Thanks to their expertise, we’ll be enjoying an unforgettable evening of amazing wines and brews on May 15 from 6:00-9:30 PM at Indian Trails Camp. The night will feature delicious appetizers from IKUS Catering, live music by Double Wide Ride and Funkle Jesse, plus a live and silent auction. 🎶🍇

We’d also like to thank our presenter, The Eileen Devries Family Foundation, for their generous support in making this event possible!

Thanks for the beer! We’re proud to be a part of this project.

We had the honor this evening of hosting some of the many integral people involved with our Fun For All Richmond Park Project. To all involved with this spectacular fundraising effort, we thank you for making this collaboration a success.

We started with a goal to leverage our $50,000 of fundraising for a $150,000 upgrade to the playground with a pour-in-place rubber surface. We are thrilled that this effort grew to leveraging the same $50,000 into an One Million dollar playground renovation that will truly create a play space that will be Fun For All.
We can’t wait to see this playground come alive on the West Side to become, in our eyes, the most universally-accessible park in Grand Rapids.

Shameless plug. 😬

I want to share some exciting news! My daughter is completing her Girl Scout Gold Award project. She designed a wheelchair accessible garden bed to give more access to important outdoor activity. She built one at Growing Roots Farm and one is being built this fall at Indian Trails Camp (IKUS Life Enrichment Services) and Camp Fish Tales.

She just got her plans put on the National AMBUCS website!! So now they can be accessed by anyone, anywhere to be built! Please help her spread the word and share this incredible news so other organizations, nursing homes, camps, community centers, etc can create more accessibility and independence!

Check out her design and PLEASE share! Link is in the comments.

We’re so pleased to be part of this.
