We will be offering an EMT class this winter for anyone interested in becoming an EMT. This will be a hybrid type class, with online and hands on instruction. If you are interested in learning more, please attend our informational meeting.

Last Saturday Slope County had the privilege to participate in the FIRST surveillance testing done in the Nation, in efforts to understand COVID-19. 367 tests were administered at the fairgrounds in Amidon for the Governor's "Operation Drive-In". This type of testing was unique in the fact that residents did NOT have to be symptomatic or showing any signs of the virus to be tested. This surveillance type of testing is aiming to comprehend the inner workings of this virus, along with mapping out a blue print of how it could be spreading within communities. The information gathered will be vital for researchers and health officials on the front lines of today's new atmosphere. This program was also recognized and applauded by the Coronavirus Task Force, the head of which is Vice President Mike Pence.

We are honored and truly humbled by how our community showed up on Saturday. THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered their time to wait in the enormous line to be tested. THANK YOU to our Slope County first responders for being tested, displaying public safety is our top priority. THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible Saturday, and to those who are confronting this head on each and every day. It's a small part to ensure our families and communities are staying safe. The Governor's new pilot project called 'Operation Drive-In' kicked off Saturday in Amidon, offering drive up coronavirus tests.

If you are able, please participate!

Slope county first responders MUST test!

You will NOT have to leave your car. You do NOT need to be sick/showing symptoms. All ages are encouraged to participate.

The more people tested the more research is able to be done to try and understand COVID-19. Do your part and help us flatten the curve!
