This past Sunday, we reflected on what it means to cross the Jordan and remember what God has done.

Like the Israelites, we built a cairn, a reminder of where we’ve been, where God has brought us, and the ways God has been moving in our midst. As we celebrated one year in our rebuilt sanctuary and 188 years of service to the community of Marlton, we remembered that the church has never just been about a building. It’s about the lives being touched, the community being served, and people becoming deeply committed disciples of Jesus Christ.

And a cairn doesn’t say, “Stop here.” It says, “You’re on the right path. Keep going. Keep moving forward.”

So we look back with gratitude, but we look ahead with hope, ready to build what comes next and to be known as a church where lives are saved and transformed.

What do you want Marlton UMC to be known for?

Over the last few days our church leadership has been in Kansas for Leadership Institute at Resurrection Church! We’re learning, growing, and gaining new ideas to help our church continue to grow, make disciples, and serve our community.

Pray that God continues to give us wisdom, open our hearts to learn, and guide us as we bring what we’ve learned back home as we attend our closing sessions tomorrow!
