Hi everyone! I thought i’d do a little day in the life video of Carson at the hospital.
Today was suppose to be a quick trip in an out but most of the time it’s not and that’s ok. I really just wanted everyone to see that yes the hospital can be scary and you never know how it’ll turn out. It also can be a fun loving place. As you can see we got to see a lot of our friends and some we haven’t seen in a while. A lot of people say Carson’s like the little major of the hospital. As always thank you all again for you love and support.

After two long years of fighting cancer, this sixth-grade boy finally got to experience something that even a month ago seemed out of reach—a fun-filled day outdoors with his classmates! Being able to participate in the school’s zip line field trip was more than just an exciting adventure for Carson; it was a moment of freedom, joy, and a reminder of how far he has come. After everything Carson (& his Mama) has endured, treatments, challenges, complications, and countless difficult days, he was incredibly thankful to be there, laughing, participating, and making memories alongside his friends. For him and for us, that zip line wasn’t just a ride—it was a symbol of strength, resilience, and the beautiful moments that make the fight worth it. Thank you to the amazing parent chaperones who kept a special close out on our brave boy today, and thank you the amazing MES 6th Grade Team of teachers & support staff. Today was a WIN!!!!!! Good morning, family and friends!!
Yesterday we had a full hospital day. Carson goes for bloodwork, a bag of chemo, and some other treatments as well as a LP which means he goes under and he gets a chemo injection in the spine so that that keeps the leukemia cells away from the spine an in the brain.
Unfortunately, we were not able to get all of his chemo due to his port infiltrated  while he was getting his LP, which means that the port leaks fluid that he’s getting into the skin and around which can cause irritation burning and swelling. So we will go back in two weeks. While we were there Carson‘s oncologist Dr. Kerry Moss shared a very heartwarming message with me. You can read it in the first picture. It was from a Picu Nurse at CCMC when we lived in the PICU for a month. This nurse really made an impact on myself where he comforted me when things didn’t feel right or safe or unknown. He also made an impact on Carson, he would come in every shift and chat with him hi-five him and just make him feel normal and after we moved back upstairs onto the 8th floor where we stayed for months, he would come up in the morning after his shift and he would say good morning or goodbye or leave a note. as much as he said he we made an impact on him. He truly made an impact on our lives and all the nurses and everyone who has come into our life during this two year journey so far has really become part of our family. We truly are grateful for them all. 🧡🎗️🧡🎗️🧡🎗️
