ACARA - Addison County Amateur Radio Association ACARA-VT is an ARRL affiliated club and our members have a wide variety of interests, although contesting and DXing have the lion's share.

If you are new to ham radio, we have some info and links that will help you get started. Our members, also, are always happy to help new-comers get into the swing of things, so don’t hesitate to ask questions or seek help.

Ryan, N1OCI passed both his General and Extra Class exams at today’s Ham-Con in Colchester! Tech to Extra in a matter of less than an hour is quite remarkable (after all the studying, of course). Congrats to Ryan and everyone else who became a new ham or upgraded today!

Fondly remembering Henry....🥹

ACARA member, Henry (KT1J) receiving his Worked All Bands plaque in Hartford, CT. This means Henry has made a confirmed QSO on every ham radio band allowed in the USA. If our math is correct, that’s 26 bands from microwave to HF. Fellow Vermont ham, Mike (N1JEZ) was also awarded with the same hardware! As of today, only three hams have received this award! Congratulations to Henry and Mike for this amazing accomplishment.
