Tough, but Thankful, MTAR Vet Run Today!
MTAR is blessed that we can take in, vet, treat, and care for severely injured and cruelty animals. Today, alone, MTAR has 4 kittens with vet needs.
First, Leah Lepanto is yesterday’s vehicle injury kitten with extensive head and upper body damage. She can’t close her mouth and she appears to have an injury to her trachea. She was is in so much pain that she had to be sedated for x-rays. She peed but has not taken in food or liquid yet.
Second, Custer is a sweet medium hair tabby that has a very deep head injury—-all the way to the skull…you can see the bone in the pic. A Good Samaritan saved him from a park in Jonesboro. Great antibiotics and heavy duty wound management has been prescribed by our vet.
Third, Trappola is a solid gray kitten with an injury from a nasty trap (yep, metal jaw-like trap) which tripped and crushed a front paw. You can’t even identify the folded tissues that resembled a foot anymore. Trappola undergoes an amputation of his leg today. He has been on pain meds and antibiotics for awhile now.
Finally and the most difficult case, Bitty McFall was born with his back legs stuck in the birth canal. His sibling delivered fine but complications caused this deformity. The legs are twisted individually and then twisted together with his tail, like a bread twist-tie. When he pees and poops, it ulcerated his skin and, without surgical intervention, he won’t make it. So, sadly, to attempt to save this little loud gold nugget of a tabby, the vet will remove his legs at the hips and he will require a device for mobility. This baby has a loud meow, playful spirit, and purrs all the time.
MTAR takes these type kittens plus the blind, crippled and mistreated into the rescue so they can have a chance. We do it for dogs too,—sweet Rebecca had her shredded feet rebuilt and now runs and plays, with a joyful spirit! We see the difference!
Thank you for supporting our work and dedication to them. Without your shares, encouragement, and community support, these babies would not have possibilities and futures!
Here are some our kittens at Wynne Animal Rescue Vet Clinic today! We also could not do any of this without our fabulous vet team at WAR Vet Clinic!
