At the Veterans of Foreign Wars, we stand beside our veterans every day — and one of the most important partners in that mission is the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

🇺🇸 What Makes You Eligible to Join the VFW? 🇺🇸

If you’re a veteran who served overseas, you may be eligible to join the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

To qualify for VFW membership, you must have:
✅ Served honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces
✅ Served overseas in a foreign conflict, expedition, or campaign
✅ Earned a campaign medal, expeditionary medal, or service ribbon recognized by the VFW

Many veterans don’t realize they qualify — even if they:
• Served years ago
• Were not in combat
• Didn’t join right after separation

If you earned medals such as (but not limited to):
🎖️ GWOT Expeditionary or Service Medal
🎖️ Iraq Campaign Medal
🎖️ Afghanistan Campaign Medal
🎖️ Korea, Vietnam, or other campaign medals
