Our office is closed today in Honor of Juneteenth.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day when enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. This federal holiday honors the end of slavery in the United States and serves as a time to reflect on freedom, resilience, equality, and the ongoing pursuit of justice for all.
