Today, our intern Liz graduates from Mariposa County High School, and our hearts are full.

Watching her grow as a student artist and intern has been a true joy. Liz’s creativity, dedication, and kindness have left a lasting mark on our Arts Council family.

Liz, thank you for sharing your gifts with us. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see where your journey leads. Your future is bright, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. 💙

This achievement belongs to all of us! 🥳 The Mariposa County Arts Council has been recognized with the CTA Gold Award by the Merced/Mariposa Service Center Council for our efforts in supporting Mariposa County Schools.

Thank you to every student, teacher, and community member who helps us make a difference through the arts. ❤️‍🔥

Curious about how we support our schools? Here's a glimpse:
• In-classroom arts education (poetry, cultural indigenous arts, dance, music, multimedia collage)
• Annual juried art exhibition for young artists
• Field trips to Bay Area museums for high schoolers
• Teacher support through workshops like Open Arts Night, Paint + Snacks, Community of Practice
• Arts curriculum for grades TK - 8
• Workforce development opportunities and internships for emerging teen artists
