Following its inaugural 2026 festival, the Yosemite Film Festival & Storyteller Summit returns to Yosemite Valley April 8–11, 2027.

Presented by the Yosemite Climbing Association, the festival is rooted in one of the most influential landscapes in climbing and outdoor history and celebrates films and stories that explore our relationship with wild places. Programming centers on climbing, outdoor adventure, environmental storytelling, and human-powered experiences, with an emphasis on ethics, stewardship, and sense of place.

It started with dirty toilet paper.

Seriously.

Ken Yager was tired of stepping over toilet paper and trash at the crags in Yosemite, so he and a group of climbers decided to do something about it: they started cleaning up.

This photo is Ken sitting in the back of his red truck during the very first Yosemite Facelift in 2004.

What began with a handful of climbers picking up trash has grown into five days of stewardship, community, climbing culture and thousands of people coming together to care for Yosemite.

This September, we do it for the 23rd time.

Join Flatlander Films for a special one-night San Francisco benefit screening of Frost – The Story Of A Lifetime, a fundraising event supporting the Yosemite Climbing Association and celebrating the sponsors, donors, partners, and friends who helped bring this story to life.

Net proceeds benefit the Yosemite Climbing Association, helping preserve Yosemite's climbing history and inspiring future generations.
