Hi Friends!!
Well, even though Mother Nature had other plans for our golf outing this year, our incredible community showed up anyway—and that meant more to us than words can express.

It truly touched our hearts to see so many of you brave the rain, play a few holes, and then stick around to enjoy lunch, fellowship, and our silent auction. Even though we didn’t get the full day of golf we had hoped for, we were still able to gather together, share memories, laugh, and celebrate Kari’s life and legacy.

A huge thank you to Frida’s for graciously preparing our taco bar earlier than planned so everyone could enjoy lunch after coming off the course. Your flexibility and generosity were so appreciated!

Thank you also to Saddleback Golf Course for doing everything possible to get us on the course and for hosting our event. We are grateful for your partnership and support.

To our sponsors, donors, volunteers, friends, family, and the many local businesses that contributed amazing silent auction items—thank you. Your support is what makes the KareBear Foundation possible.

Because of all of you, we raised just over $28,000 and some donations are still coming in! 🎉

That means we will be able to help more than twice as many local families facing the financial burden of cancer-related expenses than we were able to help last year.

The weather may have changed our plans, but it couldn’t dampen the spirit of this community. Thank you for helping us turn a rainy day into a beautiful celebration of love, generosity, and Kari’s memory.

Earlier this month the Kare-Bear team was able to spend some time with the wonderful ladies from the Mark Harrison Cancer Foundation, an organization that provided support to Kari during her illness. It was an honor to meet them and be able to donate to their organization.

They were one of two foundations and eight individuals that the Kare Bear Foundation was able to give to at Christmas with total gifts of over $12,000.00.

We are grateful for the outpouring of support from individuals and businesses, which has enabled us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. We would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to all who have contributed to the foundation over the past year, allowing us to create a lasting legacy in Kari's name.

Additionally, we are excited to announce the 2nd Annual Kare Bear Golf Outing, scheduled for June 8th at Saddleback Country Club in Solon. We invite you to participate in various capacities, including hole sponsorship, donating items for the silent auction, volunteering, or registering a team for golf.
