Homeless to Home Animal Rescue & Cat Sanctuary Homeless to Home is a cat sanctuary & animal rescue preventing suffering of animals. ALL LIVES MATTER, including the animals. All owners & staff are volunteers.

We are located in Marion, Ohio, with volunteers throughout the central Ohio area. Our mission here at Homeless to Home is to help end suffering for ALL creatures. We know that is impossible, but we strive to help as many as we can in an effort to ensure that no animal is ever turned away. Our hope is that one day each creature we rescue will have food, water, shelter, love, kind words, and will find a forever home where they can finally sleep with BOTH eyes shut, not having to worry if harm will come to them. THIS RESCUE SURVIVES ON DONATIONS ALONE, and be assured that 100% of your donation, large or small, will go towards the care of the animals. It costs a lot to keep the doors open, the ongoing expenses being food, litter, utilities, the rescue vehicle (which is very old & in need of replacing) upkeep including insurance, gas & maintenance, and most of all, the vet & medical expenses. The rescue is always in need of necessary items as well as financial donations. If you are not able to give a one time gift, or small continual monthly gifts, we understand. However, can you please share us on your FB and all social media pages in hopes that someone else who cares about the animals might also be able to? Every penny is needed & appreciated. We thank you and the animals thank you, too!

Sending out an SOS call for help...we're under water in vet bills and the tide is not receding. Good news is we've been able to home some senior kitties! Bad news is they most always need dental work - usually not just cleanings but extractions as well. We do everything we can to send cats to homes with everything they need for the best chance of long healthy lives. We receive many cats with poor oral health. A number of kitties residing in the sanctuary are in need of dental care and waiting for their turn. Oral health is especially important to cats to prevent debilitating stomatitis, refusal to eat and weight loss. These procedures typically cost $350-500. We accept senior cats that many organizations refuse, knowing they often have these issues and are harder to adopt. We are struggling to provide their special care along with the usual veterinary costs for hundreds of cats (and other kinds). We have also begun treating FIP (feline infectious peritonitis), a once fatal disease for which there are now treatments. They are costly! But we have saved some lives so far! At the same time a necropsy is being done at OSU to determine the cause of death of a few otherwise healthy cats for which the usual vet exams and tests revealed nothing. Quite expensive but we have to know. We're asking for special help. Amazing! So many questions about this.

Meet Jonathan, the 194-year-old tortoise who could hold the secret to a longer life! 🐢❤️ The world's oldest known living land animal has amazed scientists after a new DNA study revealed 287 genetic variants linked to healthy aging, DNA repair, and reduced inflammation. Researchers believe his remarkable biology could offer valuable clues to understanding aging in humans. 🌿🔬 Could this gentle giant help unlock the secrets of longevity?
