Homeless to Home Animal Rescue & Cat Sanctuary

Homeless to Home Animal Rescue & Cat Sanctuary Homeless to Home is a cat sanctuary & animal rescue preventing suffering of animals. ALL LIVES MATTER, including the animals. All owners & staff are volunteers.

We are located in Marion, Ohio, with volunteers throughout the central Ohio area. Our mission here at Homeless to Home is to help end suffering for ALL creatures. We know that is impossible, but we strive to help as many as we can in an effort to ensure that no animal is ever turned away. Our hope is that one day each creature we rescue will have food, water, shelter, love, kind words, and will fi

nd a forever home where they can finally sleep with BOTH eyes shut, not having to worry if harm will come to them. THIS RESCUE SURVIVES ON DONATIONS ALONE, and be assured that 100% of your donation, large or small, will go towards the care of the animals. It costs a lot to keep the doors open, the ongoing expenses being food, litter, utilities, the rescue vehicle (which is very old & in need of replacing) upkeep including insurance, gas & maintenance, and most of all, the vet & medical expenses. The rescue is always in need of necessary items as well as financial donations. If you are not able to give a one time gift, or small continual monthly gifts, we understand. However, can you please share us on your FB and all social media pages in hopes that someone else who cares about the animals might also be able to? Every penny is needed & appreciated. We thank you and the animals thank you, too!

Enjoy the humor but don't miss the point. It's more frequent than you would guess.

Coshocton County Animal Shelter & Humane Animal Treatment Assoc. We are so grateful for how you handled this situation. Thank you for not attempting to charge the person with abandonment, post the picture of their car, the license plate, call the cops...Modern sheltering has truly made itself unapproachable, indignant when people in crisis do what they must outside of business hours so their pets will be safe - because they were refused help during hours, told to "just leave them out", forced to drive away seeing their pets or the strays they've taken care of in the rearview mirror. If people find themselves in crisis with no options, and shelters won't shelter, shelters are forcing abandonment. Shelters are granted non profit, tax exempt status for mission statements to serve their communities. Many shelters act like it's the other way around.

We didn’t have a choice.
We weren’t asked.
We weren’t called and scheduled with, as we request.
It didn’t matter if we had room for them, or not.
They were left here anyways.

Because this was the ONLY option.
Our shelter. Us within it.
We. Were. The. Only. Option.

And now these starving, sickly thin kittens have full tummies. A terrified mom, too young to have been a mother, like hundreds more…

They’re safe from the streets.
They’re safe from suffering.
Because of us.

Support open admissions. We are one of the last to fully serve our county in this state, and one of the only who provides the programs we know of on our limited budget.

As we continue to navigate confusion….
‼️ We are NOT affiliated with any other humane society or rescue within this county.

‼️ The dog warden is a separate office entirely. They deliver dogs to us. They do not work here and we do not oversee them.

‼️ Coshocton County humane society hosts Rascal Unit and currently is only accessible by page or email. We do not have any affiliation with the board there, or those who are responsible for it.

We are the Coshocton County Animal Shelter and Humane Animal Treatment Association. We are located on Morgan Run, where we serve both dogs and cats who need us. 60 years next year.

Blame for the massive stray population is not only on people who don't spay and neuter. Shelters are turning thousands of dogs and cats away to breed hundreds of thousands of homeless animals. Most of those suffer and end in inhumane ways, despite shelters claiming to be no kill. Where's the no kill part? The jig is up on the numbers game. Animals are born and dying out there because of it.

Celebrating our 50th happy reunion of 2026! 🎉 Rascal was missing for TWO YEARS from Harrison, Ohio before ending up with us. We found his owner by way of his microchip. Rascal recognized her in an instant, hugging her and purring loudly. Never give up! Microchips do work when they are registered and kept up to date.

We Need Your Help! 🐾‼️

First—A HUGE thank you to all of our amazing Homeless to Home staff and volunteers! 💜 You give your time, energy, and love to our cats, and we truly couldn’t do this without you! 🐈

But our volunteers are tired, and we need more help!

Do you have some extra time? Need a reason to get out of the house a couple times a week? Want to do something meaningful while helping some very tired people?

We’re looking for help with:

🧺 Laundry: Once or twice a week, take bulky animal bedding to the laundromat for washing and drying. H2H provides the supplies and money — you provide the time and transportation to and from the laundromat.

🐱 Pet Supplies Plus: Once a week, transport cats to/from the store and deep clean/reset their 4 enclosures with clean bedding, food, water, and litter. Tuesdays are preferred, but we can work with your schedule!

Even taking one task off our volunteers’ plates makes a huge difference.

Interested? Call 740-272-0849, option 3.

Our cats need you — and honestly, our volunteers do too! 🐾💜
