Fall 2023 Ad Altare Dei Catholic Scouting Religious Emblem

The purpose of the Ad Altare Dei (to the altar of God) program is to help Catholic Youth of the Roman Rite develop a fully Christian way of life in the faith community. The program is designed for Scouts ages 13-14 years old, but all Scouts up to 18 years old and Venture Scouts up to their 21st birthday can attend. The program is organized in chapters based on the seven sacraments. The seven Sacraments are a primary means toward spiritual growth. Participants must also attend a retreat and participate in a group service project.
Sessions will be held at All Saints Catholic Church on Sundays from 4:00 to 5:30 PM for eight weeks, beginning Sep. 17, 2023 and ending on November 19, 2023. Class will not be held on Oct. 29th and Nov. 5th.
The retreat and Board of Review will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. To register for this event After August 14, 2023 go to mycouncil.hawkeyebsa.org/event/catholic-scouting

Last Saturday the Ad Altare Dei class complete a three hour service project at the Prairie Gardens. Catholic Metro Outreach receives fresh vegetables and fruit from these gardens to distribute from their food pantry. The scouts assisted in preparing the gardens for the winter months. Catholic Scouting Religious Emblem
The purpose of the Ad Altare Dei (to the altar of God) program is to help Catholic Youth of the Roman Rite develop a fully Christian way of life in the faith community. The retreat and Board of Review will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2021 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.

What: The purpose is to help the Catholic Cub Scout develop a personal relationship with Jesus. With the parents' assistance and participation, the Cub Scout will come to see Jesus as a real person and his friend.

Pope Pius XII
Catholic Religious Emblem

Pope Pius XII is Catholic Scouting's church-related ministries and vocation program. Scouts will explore the various life choices (single, married, religious, ordained), future occupations or ministries in the church as calls from God. It includes youth led discussions on current issues facing the church and society.

The program is designed for age 15-16 year olds, but all registered Venturers (male or female before their 21st birthday) and all registered Scouts (in high school, before their 18th birthday) are eligible.

Meetings will be held on Sunday afternoons at All Saints Parish in Cedar Rapids beginning on January 16, 2022 with a targeted completion date of mid-April, 2022.
